This was made known in a statement released by Emirate Airlines and made available to newsmen on Thursday morning.

The decision to suspend its flights to and out of Nigeria was as a result of the failure of Emirates Airlines to repatriate its trapped ticket sales fund in the country back to its home country in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Reacting to this, Sani via a Twitter post on Thursday stated that Emirates Airline can leave if it wishes to, stressing that their fare is too expensive.

According to him, Nigerians can patronise Air peace or any local Airline operating international flights.

He tweeted: “Emirates can go if they want to, their fare is too expensive: patronise our Onyema’s Air peace or any local Airline operating international flights.”
