Reactions As Unknown APC Bishop Escapes Mob Lynching In Abuja Market

The social media space is buzzing with reactions after one of the ‘Unknown Bishops’ allegedly hired by the All Progressive Congress, (APC) for the unveiling of its vice-presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima was nabbed in a popular market in Abuja.

The ‘Unknown Bishop’ was said to be a plumber and was nabbed at his shop at Dei Dei market, Abuja.

Recall that, a large section of Nigerians on social media had taken to their handles to accuse the APC of blasphemy following allegations that the party hired some unknown Bishops to give backing to the Muslim-Muslim ticket. 

Earlier, GWG reported that the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN disowned and dissociated itself from the unknown bishops who attended the unveiling of the vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Kashim Shettima.

The organisation said that although the presidential candidate of the APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was free to “hire mechanics and other artisans and sew clerical garments for them”, that effort would only add to their many ropes but would not change the need for fairness and justice.

However, a Twitter user, identified as @ichaka_bv revealed how the ‘Unknown Bishop’ was outed and nearly lynched before he was rescued by the police.

In the video that surfaced on Saturday, the yet-to-be identified ‘Bishop’  was spotted in the midst of a large crowd who dragged him through the busy market.
