Shehu Sani Cautions FG Over Repentance Of Bello Turji

Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central lawmaker, has taken to his handle to react following reports of the repentance of of bandit leader, Bello Turji.

The lawmaker, while reacting to the development, warned the FG and Zamfara State government to be cautious over their claims of the repentance of of Bello Turji and of him being a changed man.

Recall that the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Hassan Nasiha, on Saturday announced that bandit kingpin, Bello Turji has embraced peace in the state with his repentance.

According to Nasiha, Turji embraced the peace initiative of the Zamfara State Government as part of efforts to end banditry.

Nasiha revealed the development during a conference organized by the Students Union Of Medina University, where he stated that the decision of Turji to embrace peace has brought about peace in the three local government areas affected by banditry.

The Deputy Governor noted that there has not been a clash between the Fulani and Hausa in Birnin Magaji, Shinkafi and Zurmi Local Government Areas of the State in the last five weeks.

However, Sani in a Twitter post on Monday warned that the reported repentance of Bello Turji must be treated with utmost caution.

He added that the bandit leader is a very dangerous man.

The former lawmaker wrote: “The reported repentance of the Bandit leader Bello Turji should be treated with utmost caution. He is an atrociously dangerous man.”
