APC-USA Inaugurates Presidential Campaign Committee For Tinubu
The APC-USA Chapter has officially inaugurated its own Presidential Campaign Committee to work for the election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President of the Federal Republic of NIgeria in the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Chairman of APC-USA, Professor Adesegun Labinjo, outlined the terms of reference of the committee and charged members to work tirelessly for the victory of APC presidential ticket in the 2023 presidential election.
APC-USA had in July announced the formation of its Presidential Campaign Committee. The committee is headed by Dr. Umo Ekanem and has Princess Titi Arojojoye as the Vice Chairwoman. Other prominent members of the committee include Judge Dele Alade, Mr. Tony Isama, Professor Adesegun Labinjo, Chief Emeka Molokwu, Dr. Charles Mambula, Mr. Farouk Salim, Princess Aderemi Adebowale, Professor Andrew Akinmoladun, and others.
Professor Labinjo charged the committee to oversee all aspects of APC-USA’s presidential campaign for the election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and drum up support for Asiwaju Tinubu, and resist and counter any attempt to disparage or tarnish the name and character of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Professor Labinjo also charged the committee to organize campaign events, rallies and activities by mails, emails, virtual or in person to promote the APC presidential ticket. He advised them to interact and communicate with the media, build relationships with the press, set up interviews and identify media opportunities for the campaign. He said that the committee should help write and develop campaign literature, and coordinate with the APC NIgeria and the APC Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja for the unified talking point of the campaign.
Professor Labinjo further charged the committee to identify and work with credible support groups or individuals for the APC and for the APC presidential ticket, and to mobilize the Nigerians in the Diaspora to make phone calls to their relatives in NIgeria to support and vote for Tinubu.
In her response, the chairperson of the committee, Dr. Umo Ekanem promised to leave no stone unturned in the committee’s assignment to ensure the election of Asiwaju Tinubu as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Dr. Ekanem solicited the support of the committee members, the committee advisors and party members to make the committee’s assignments easier.
She said that Asiwaju Tinubu is the best candidate for the president and that Tinubu has been the main political discourse of Nigeria for over two decades. She said that Asiwaju Tinubu, being the main architect of the APC, fully understands the programs and the manifestos of the party, and is uniquely placed to dig Nigeria out of the current economic and security woes.
She promised to engage and tap into the experiences and knowledge of the committee’s advisors in helping to achieve the objectives of the committee. The committee’s advisors include Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Oladele Ajomale, Senator Lawal Shuaibu and Chief Olumuyiwa Ogunleye.
Dr. Ekanem called on all Nigerians to vote massively for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election for the transformation, restructuring and rapid development of Nigeria, a task she said the APC-USA Presidential Campaign Committee would pursue.
