Shameless! Nigerians React As Tinubu Leads APC Chiefs To Jonathan

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has become a subject of mockery following his recent visit to former president, Goodluck Jonathan in his residence in Abuja.

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, was in continuation of Tinubu’s nationwide consultation with critical stakeholders ahead of the 2023 presidential election. It came days after the former governor met with Obasanjo in Ogun State.

Tinubu visited Jonathan alongside his running mate, Kashim Shettima.
Other APC members who followed Tinubu included Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong.

Details of their meeting were not made public, however, a source in Tinubu’s camp revealed that the visit was to solicit the support of the former President ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

“His visit to Jonathan shouldn’t come to anyone as a surprise. Tinubu holds no grudges with any political leader whether within the party or in the opposition,” he said.

Nigerians while reacting to the development mocked Tinubu for crawling back to Jonathan considering the role he played against him during the 2015 elections.

Many referred to the APC Chieftain as “Shameless” as they dug up details of his intense fight against Jonathan.
