FCT Signs MOU With Veritas University
The authorities of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Veritas University, Abuja that would help boost the training of pharmacists and nurses that would be reckoned among the best in the world.
The memorandum was signed when a delegation of the university management led by the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Hyacinth Ichoku to the minister, Hon Mohammed Musa Bello.
A statement issued by the university’s public relations officer, Miss Enuwa Obekpa said that the Minister was impressed with the accelerated developmental strides in the university under the leadership of Professor Ichoku.
He further appreciated the contribution of the university in addressing the education needs of the teeming youth population in the country.
In a memorandum of understanding between the honorable Minister and the Vice Chancellor, students studying Nursing and Pharmacy at Veritas University will be deployed to hospitals within FCT for their practicum. Other issues brought to the fore included, the speedy completion of the road construction project leading to Zuma, where the University is located.
The Honorable Minister also reiterated his commitment to intensify effort to beef up security in Bwari Area Council so that people can go about their legitimate businesses.
The Vice Chancellor while appreciating the magnanimous gesture of the Honorable minister, stated that the current courses in the Faculty of Health Sciences would herald the Medical college, which when completed, would be among top leading medical schools in the Country.
