Atiku, Wike Discord Resolved – PDP Guber Candidates

The discord between Atiku Abubakar and Nyesom Wike has been resolved, Kaduna State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Isa Mohammed Ashiru said on Wednesday following the intervention of the party’s governorship candidates in the feud between the presidential candidate and his former contender for the ticket.

Following a meeting between 17 of the governorship candidates and Wike in Port-Harcourt, Ashiru said that the governorship candidates would take the terms of the peace brokered with the Rivers governor to the National Working Committee, NWC of the party.

Ashiru, speaking of behalf of the team of PDP guber candidates after the closed door meeting with Wike, said: “It was fruitful and an open discussion with sincerity.

“We are home and dry. We discussed issues that border on the situation within the party.”

Ashiru, however, refused to give details of the meeting, saying

“But we are through. We have discussed with the presidential candidate.

“We are here with our brother and friend (Wike). Issues that border on what has happened have been sorted out.

“The issues have been resolved as far as I’m concerned because we have heard from both sides.

“We are going to meet with the National Working Committee to take a decision,” he added.

GWG reports that Atiku and Wike had been in discord over issues flowing from the convention and agreements between both men that were breached and led to the search for peace by stakeholders which have now been resolved by the guber candidates.
