Reactions Trail Uju Anya’s Tweet Over Queen Elizabeth’s Death
Mixed reactions have trailed a Twitter post by a Nigerian-born professor, Uju Anya, over the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain.
While the longest serving monarch was placed under medical supervision at Balmoral Castle in Scotland on Thursday, Anya, had taken to her handle to wish for the queen to go through ‘excruciating.’ The tweet was later deleted by Twitter for violating its rules.

However, in a recent tweet, the professor blasted the monarch for supervising a sponsored genocide that killed and displaced some of her family members.
According to her, she would only express disdain for the deceased Queen.

If anyone expects me to express anything but disdain for the monarch who supervised a government that sponsored the genocide that massacred and displaced half my family and the consequences of which those alive today are still trying to overcome, you can keep wishing upon a star.
