Reactions As El-Rufai Hails Queen Elizabeth For Favouring North At Independence

Bashir El-Rufai, son of Governor Nasir El-Rufai has stirred controversy with a tribute to the late British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II by praising her and her government’s role in placing the North at the peak of political power in Nigeria.

Bashir El-Rufai took to his Twitter handle to pay his tribute to the late Britain monarch, Queen Elizabeth II and voiced out his commendation of the British manipulation of power to favour the North at independence.

Recall that the Queen’s demise has been trailed with mixed reactions as many mourned the monarch across the world. However, many others have refused to mourn the late Queen Elizabeth following her country’s contribution to the African slave trade among others.

Paying his tribute to the late Queen, Bashir said he will always be indebted to the royal house and the method of indirect rule to the North.
