Tinubu’s Camp Dabbles Into PDP Crisis, Backs Wike Against Atiku
The camp of the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has entered into the dispute between Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and his rival, Governor Nyesom Wike.
The Tinubu camp through the Tinubu-Shettima Ambassadors (TSA) on Sunday urged Governor Nyesom Wike to expose the mole in the presidency who the governor had claimed was backing the national chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorcha Ayu.
GWG reports that Wike had last Thursday alleged that a presidential aide was the muscle behind Ayu and who was giving him the confidence not to resign for the purpose of furthering the presidential aspiration of Atiku.
Wike who made the allegation last Thursday while commissioning a project had vowed to reveal the identity of the presidential aide supposedly backing Ayu.
Entering the melee in the PDP, the Tinubu camp through the TSA asked Wike to expose the mole
Speaking with reporters on Sunday, the Director General of TSA, Oyelude Oladele expressed concern that a presidential aide could be working in cahoots with outsiders to return the PDP to power.
While hailing Wike for what he described as his fight for justice and equity, he said:
“We, as a support group of the APC, appeal to Governor Wike to unmask the person in the presidency that’s backing the PDP and its candidate, Atiku Abubakar against southern interest.
“Nigerians must reject the PDP and her presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as it is very visible that they are coming with regional sentiment and political deception,” the Tinubu Support group said in its defence of Wike.
