Chinese Community In Kano Condemn Ummita Buhari’s Murder
The Chinese Business Community in Nigeria (CBCAN) has condemned Chinese national Geng Quanrong who is being held in police custody over the murder of his former 23 year old lover, Ms Ummita Buhari.
The community disowned him in a statement in which it reacted to the murder of the lady.
GWG had reported how Geng Quanrong knocked for more than one hour on Friday night before getting access into the residence of the deceased and then subsequently knifing her to death.
He has claimed that she betrayed him after a promise to marry him but stepping back.
The Chinese business community in a statement on Monday issued by the CBCAN Head, Mike Zhang condemned the gruesome killing of Ms Buhari.
Zhang said the criminal act should be allowed to be handled professionally by relevant security agencies.
“The Chinese community in Kano is fully in support of the law taking its proper course”, he noted.
He said the people of China appreciate the hospitality so far received in Kano and will continue to be law-abiding, and contribute to the state’s development.
The statement by the Chinese Community further condoled with the Buhari family of the deceased, a graduate of Agriculture Science from Kampala University.
23-year-old Ummita Buhari was a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
