Suspense As Genevieve Plans Return To Nollywood

Excitement is bubbling in Nigeria’s Nollywood over the return of screen diva Genevieve Nnaji after a bout of still unexplained ill-health that has been traced by some to mentally related.

GWG reports that last May reports emerged that the veteran actress was reported to have fallen into mental ill-health leading to her team deleting all her posts on Instagram.

It was also reported that she was hospitalized in a United States mental hospital as strenuous efforts were made to keep the lid on her situation.

GWG had further reported that there were claims that her situation was not brought about by substance abuse but other influences which some traced to psychosis.

Since then she has surprisingly remained off the radar both on social media and in real life.

Her situation was preceded by some indecipherable posts she made earlier with some suggestions that she was fantasizing Islam.

Six months after she went off the radar, Genevieve Nnaji appeared to be back with suggestions that she is getting set for a film role.

The clearest indication to that effect emerged with the official Instagram handle of Genevieve’s blockbuster movie, ‘Lionheart’, posting a casting call on the page.

Aspiring actors were in the call invited for an auditioning in Enugu.

The casting call has given indications that Genevieve Nnaji may return to the Nollywood industry after her spell of alleged ill-health.
