Atiku Mourns As Long-Time Private Secretary, Nyako Dies
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has lost a close aide, Barrister Abdullahi Nyako, who until his death on Thursday morning was his private secretary.
GWG reports that Nyako died on Thursday morning from yet to be disclosed causes.
He was reportedly a long time aide of the former vice president.
Confirming the death of Nyako, Paul Ibe, Atiku’s spokesman, quoted him as saying, “Abdullahi was more than an aide, he was a family to me in every sense of the word. He served me with loyalty and diligence. He will be sorely missed.
“On behalf of my family, I wish to convey my deepest condolences to the Nyako family and pray that the Almighty Allah will comfort and strengthen them. May Allah forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.”
Besides the news that Atiku was mourning the death of Nyako his private secreatry, GWG had earlier reported that supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari under the aegis of the Buhari Media Organisation, BMO have made jeers at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the crisis between its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and the camp of Governor Nyesom Wike.
In a statement signed by its Chairman Niyi Akinsiju and Secretary Cassidy Madueke, the group noted that since the conclusion of the PDP presidential primary election, the opposition party has been torn apart by the decision of Governor Nyesom Wike and his group to throw incendiary remarks at the party.
