Okowa’s Slave Under Fire After Accusing Omo-Agege Of Bias
Supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Delta State were on Thursday fuming against a fellow party member dubbed as a slave of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa after he accused the party’s governorship flagbearer, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of marginalizing other kingdoms in Urhobo land to the favour of his Orogun Kingdom in the distribution of projects.
Omo-Agege, the deputy president of the Senate according to the party activist had focused five legacy projects in his Orogun kingdom to the neglect of the other 23 kingdoms in Urhobo land who occupy the Delta Central.
He had sent out a poser early on Thursday, asking:
?? ??? ????-??? ????? ?? ?????? ??????? ?? ?? ?????? ?????????
While noting that all Urhobo kingdoms contributed to the election of Omo-Agege as senator, he asked why the five major projects drawn by Omo-Agege to Urhobo land were located in the senator’s kingdom, of Orogun.
??? 24 ???????? ??????????? ????????? ?? ???. ???–?????‘? ????????? ?????????. ??? ????? ?????? ?? ??????? ??????? ??? ???? ????????????? ?? ??? ?????? ?????? ?? ??? 24 ???????? ?? ??????????.

However, his poser soon generated debate among APC chatrooms with many rising to the defence of Omo-Agege who as Deputy President of Senate has become the highest ranking Urhobo in the national hierarchy since the advent of the Fourth Republic.
One of the respondents observed that every part of Urhobo land has received transformers which the critic failed to point out.
“Maybe we should reflect also if Ibori was an Oghara governor and if Okowa is an Anioma governor…….and come to think of it, if I should agree with this write up, I didn’t see where it’s stated here that DSP gave Orogun transformer, but I can really say almost all the other kingdoms mentioned got transformers from this same so called Orogun senator.”
The assertion of the observer above was hailed by another supporter who said:
“God bless you brother, you will never know poverty in your life…..we are here to talk and work for Omo Agege to succeed for this ambition, and some people are here forwarding nonchalant and disgraceful messages.”
Another APC operative who saw the criticism as coming from the pit of hell hailed Omo-Agege as only comparable to Senators Felix Ibru and Pius Ehwerido in the siting of projects.
Recall that before Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, there have been several senators from Delta and Delta Central who were practically sleeping, idle and self-enriching representatives, and never sponsored any Bill to the benefit of Urhobo people; or even attracted development to Urhobo land which were either situated in any part of Urhobo. Take for example, we had Senator Fred Brume, Senator Felix Ibru, Senator Adegor Eferakeya, Senator Pius Ewherido and then Senator Aguaraivwodo .. before Omo-Agege. Apart from Sen. Felix Ibru, and of course Pius Ewherido who we lost, what meaningful or physical development was attracted to our land? And what Bills were sponsored to show that Urhobo was adequately represented?”
“No Senator has ever worked like Omo-Agege. Omo-Agege made Nigerians to know that the office of the DSP can accommodate several aides which he appointed yet the Senate President does not even have up to 35 aides and Omo-Agege appointed over 1800 aides.”
“No Senator has ever been so selfless and giving his all to his people like Omo-Agege has done. I challenge you to show what other senators and even governors have done then take your time and go through THE COMPENDIUM OF OMO-AGEGE’S PROJECTS IN DELTA CENTRAL.”
An aide of the DSP then intervened to showcase projects numbering into hundreds executed by Omo-Agege in his two terms in electricity and road infrastructure, bringing another supporter to say:
“Waooo, I can bet it with you, no senator or governor has done this since the creation of Bendel State now called delta state.”
Concluding another member of one of the chatrooms concluded with the insinuation that the Omo-Agege critic could be a slave of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
“Thanks, God bless you for this reply you gave to this man that wrote this letter, he also fogot to mention Abraka Constituency and Oghara constituency and University of Agriculture in Okwali. He also forgot the three percent of oil production in Niger Delta area. This person is Okowa’s slave”
