Toke Makinwa Ends Radio Talk Show, Announces New Life
Celebrated media personality and talk show host, Toke Makinwa has announced her exit from radio and with it, the launch of a new podcast venture.
The media personality and entrepreneur announced the end of her radio career at Silverbird and Rhythm FM stations on Friday which she said was her last day on the show.
The announcement on her Instagram page has received loads of congratulations from friends and well-wishers.
As she reviewed her 12 years as a radio broadcaster, she said that she entered the scene as a rookie but was well pleased to announce that she was exiting as an accomplished broadcaster.
she used the opportunity to thank the management of Silverbird and Rhythm for the opportunity given her.
She said:
“This has taken me so long to share but here we go…
Guys, It has been 12 years since my first day on radio, and I finally take a bow.. it’s been the most exciting 12 years of my life. (So many memories), I joined as a rookie and now I can say I’m leaving as a seasoned broadcaster and now, I am excited about the next phase.
Special appreciation goes to the entire management team @silverbirdgrpng and my colleagues @937rhythmfm for being a part of this amazing journey.
As the queen of talk, l’Il like to take you all on a new journey, pls come with me. For some it’s not so new so I’ll say an elevated phase.
