Obi Celebrates Newly Wedded Couple, Supporters At Abuja Rally (Video)
Peter Obi has reacted with joy over the turnout at the Abuja solidarity rally staged by his supporters which practically shut down the city centre on Saturday.
Obi who was not present at the rally and has indeed not physically participated in most of the rallies being conducted to show solidarity with his aspiration, however, monitored the event from Kano.
GWG reports that Obi was in Kano with his running mate Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed on a visit to the Emir of Kano.
“From Kano, I am watching the Obidients gathered in Abuja and exercising their Constitutional rights to peaceful assembly.
“I salute you all. I appreciate you all. God bless you all and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, he wrote.
Meanwhile, a newly wedded couple according to Vanguard left the wedding procession to join the Obidient rally in Abuja. Vanguard reported that the newly wedded couple, Mr and Mrs Adamson attracted the huge applause following their appearance at the Obidient Movement rally in Abuja, on Saturday.
The couple who were said to be heading home from the venue of their wedding, stopped and joined the rally along with the grooms men and brides maids to the admiration of the other Obidients as they are better known.
Peter Obi also celebrated the newly wedded couple as news of their involvement got to him.
He said:
The Abuja rally which involved a long walk along a stretch of road from the city centre to the outskirts attracted a huge crowd of pro- Peter Obi Support groups and other well wishers.
The supporters also gathered at the City Gate built about 30 years ago to commemorate the movement of the seat of power from Lagos.
The monument is the ceremonial entrance to the nation’s capital. Rallies for Obi are continuing across the country.
