Two Dead As Gunmen Attack Oyo Police Station

Unknown Gunmen on Tuesday night attacked Iganna, a town in the Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, after attacking a police station in the community.

A source in the area said that the incident had triggered anxiety in the area.

He said, ” Two persons were killed including a police officer but you know it’s only a doctor that can confirm if someone is dead or not.

“The crisis is within the people in the town and not herdsmen attack.”

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Adewale Osifeso, said that the police had begun  investigation into the incident.

He said, “Investigation has commenced into the matter. Updates would be provided accordingly.”
