Funnybone Defends Joke Silva On Her Choice Of Tinubu

Popular comedian Stanley Chibunna, also known as Funnybone, has defended veteran actress Joke Silva over her decision to support All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.

Joke Silva on Monday, joined fellow actress Foluke Daramola, Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, wife of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and others in the APC women’s rally.

Videos of the women, comprising artisans, traders and market women and professionals, marching on the streets with banners, have been trending online.

The women, in their hundreds, gathered at Tinubu’s Square on Lagos Island and other locations in the state for the solidarity walk.

The rally, however, sparked reactions from Nigeria who blasted Joke Silva over her choice of Tinubu as her candidate.

Defending the actress in comment section of a blog post on Instagram, Funnybone stated that Joke has a right to support whomever she wants and her choice should be respected.

“She has a right to support her candidate. Respect her choice,” he wrote.

GWG.NG reports that Joke Silva, unarguably one of the most influential voices in the Nollywood industry along with her husband, Olu Jacobs are looked upon by many in the industry and it is not known to what extent that the endorsement of Tinubu would affect her credibility.
