Tinubu’s Awol And His APC Campaign Handlers

The quest to be elected as president of Nigeria has become a comedy for APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his campaign handlers.
Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and a serving minister in a terribly failed APC government is busy on the television and various media platforms searching for captious grounds for the whereabout of his presidential candidate. How can a lawyer and a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria accept to market a product that will require bizarre advertisement for the acceptance of enlightened consumers. I am disappointed, but not surprised because USA former President, Donald Trump election denials have validated the fact that deviants in participatory democracy such as Festus Keyamo are found in all democracies.
Deviants in participant political culture have no sense of logic, no respect for science, and morality is irrelevant to their relationships with individuals and the society.
Medieval Sophists in the era of authoritarian regimes were tolerated in societies that were held captive by barbaric political system. The job of praising tyrants by the Sophists was sustained because it was the only path of survival.
Modern Sophists such as Festus Keyamo explain their actions by reliance on the theory of the debase parts of the hierarchy of human needs- physiological and all its characteristics of hedonism. If the life of a man is all about body desires and careless about spirituality and morality ,such a character is a danger to democracy and societal good leadership .
Democracy was a natural response to authoritarian regimes and nurtured by morality and laws. Democratic conscience is a collective good conscience and it’s practice does not exclude personal interest ,but survives on the ethics that personal interest can be realised within the political environment of the superiority of collective interest.
Tinubu Campaign Handlers
What can be more comical for a lawyer to defend the sudden disappearance of a man who is aspiring to be elected in a democratic election without mentioning the specific reason for the absence or specific location of the candidate. The sophistry of Festus Keyamo can only be explained and sustained in the medieval era.
Nigeria is a developing Democracy. Not perfect, but Nigerians and Nigeria have grown beyond medieval era despite the inconveniences of APC failed government. The lack of good government and it’s survival on Impunity cannot extinguish the intellect and natural gift of Nigerians to differentiate right from what is wrong .
The minimum requirement of a presidential candidate in a democratic nation is to be transparent about his person and actions with the citizens .The APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his campaign mangers have failed to meet this basic requirement.
The background of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the schools he attended, reason for his disappearance and reason for his few seconds recorded video message to announce his arrival instead of live television message are all in secrecy. For how long will Nigerians continue to search for the identity of a man that is asking them for a social contract. No reasonable man or woman will enter into a contract, written or unwritten with a character that it is not known.
Sophists don’t care about the future because their actions are driven by momentary pleasure and other mundane immediate benefits. Festus Keyamo is clearly a medieval sophist that don’t care about his future characterization.
However ,Tinubu and his campaign handlers should know that the quest to be elected as president of Nigeria is not a comedy and it is not by force. If Tinubu and his campaign managers are in search of a country to buy, they can approach the Talibans to ask for the purchase of Afghanistan.
It is the aspiration of Nigerians that INEC and Nigeria government under the leadership of president Buhari should ensure a credible election. The rhetoric of Festus Keyamo and identity denial of Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be irrelevant to Nigerians in the choice of the next President of Nigeria.
