BREAKING: ASUU To Call Off Strike In Days – Falana

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU is to call off the eight month strike action in a matter of days, the union’s lawyer, Mr Femi Falana said on Monday.

GWG.NG reports that Falana made the assertion at a book launch written by media activist and former students’ activist, Lanre Arogundade.

Femi Falana who has been representing ASUU in most of its issues with the Federal Government said that the strike will be called off in a matter of days and not weeks, Falana said during the launch of the book, titled “Breaking Coconut With Your Head.”

Femi Falana also said that he was hopeful that the issues between ASUU and the Federal Government would be settled outside of the courts and resolved amicably.

GWG.NG had also reported that Popular television host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown was under heavy fire on her Instagram page on Monday after she unveiled herself as a strategist for the actualisation of the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu presidential aspiration.

GWG.NG reports that Morayo Afolabi-Brown who came to national reckoning as a host of the popular Your View show on TVC said that her choice could not have been influenced by her affiliation to the station given that she is no longer a staff of the station.

While not giving any basic decision for her decision which she anchored on personal reasons.
