Police Arrest 18-Year-Old Man For Killing Friend in Kano

Agents of the Kano State Police Command have apprehended Saminu Bala, 18, for killing his friend, Ibrahim Khalil, during an argument.

The tragic incident is said to have occurred at Kofar Mazugal in Kano State’s Dala Local Government Area.

According to Daily Trust, the state police spokesman, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect and the victim had engaged in an argument when Bala hit Khalil which led to his death.

Saminu is now in police custody awaiting trial over the killing of his friend.

Recall that last month a Chinese man stabbed his 23- year-old lover to death at the Janbulo quarters, Kumbotso local government area of Kano State.

The incident reportedly happened after the suspect came to visit the deceased, identified as Ummakulsum Sani Buhari, at her parents’ house located adjacent National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) office. Within Nigeria

Also, GWG recalls that last month, a teenager, Daniel Akindele, allegedly stabbed his friend, Ayo Bameke, to death during a fight over food at Abattoir Complex in the Agege area of Lagos State.

PUNCH gathered that Akindele and Bameke, alongside other friends, usually visited the complex to play football.

On the day of the incident, our correspondent learnt that the duo and their friends visited the complex as usual.
