Spokesman Explains As Atiku Takes Leave Of Nigeria
Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has taken his leave of Nigeria for a business trip in Europe, his spokesman, Mazi Paul Ibe said on Tuesday.
He said that the PDP candidate travelled on Monday night following his interaction with Northern leaders in Kaduna on what he claimed as a scheduled trip to meet with the technical partners of one his business entities that was impacted by the Covid-19 global lockdown and the consequent economic downturn.
The meeting according to Ibe will also focus on conclusive discussions for a planned expansion of its production facility.
No date for the return of the presidential candidate was given or to what extent it would affect his already scheduled campaign activities.
Meanwhile, GWG.NG reports that before the decision to leave Nigeria for his European business trip that Atiku had on Monday in Kaduna reiterated his commitment to unite the country and pave way for wealth creation if elected as president in 2023 general elections
Atiku made the promise during the inauguration of campaign rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the Ranchers Bees Stadium, Kaduna.
According to Atiku, his administration will be committed to uniting Nigerians and building a strong economy that support jobs and wealth creation.
He also stated that his administration would focus on restructuring to allow a more stable political structure that guaranteed effective governance at all levels.
