PDP Crisis: BOT Member, Oyedokun Hits Ayu Over Attack On Wife

The crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP was on Thursday escalating towards new grounds after a senior member of the Board of Trustees, Alhaji Shuiabu Oyedokun accused the national chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu of denigrating him over his wife.
Oyedokun who served as national vice chairman during the Olusegun Obasanjo era is regarded as one of the party’s grandees with a rich depositry of the party’s institutional memory.
However, in an internal memo to the PDP BoT’s Reconciliation Committee he said that he has never been humiliated in life as he was when Ayu allegedly scolded him over his wife.
“You have no Control on your Wife. She is a Disgrace to you,” Alhaji Oyedokun quoted Ayu to have said in the memo obtained by GWG.NG.

The woman in reference is Professor Stella Effah-Attoe, the National Woman Leader of the party who is among senior party officials who returned money allegedly seen as hush-hush money.
GWG.NG has also reported a memo from the National Woman Leader alleging victimisation in the hands of the party leadership over her decision to return N28.8 million packaged as housing allowance.

In the memo to fellow committee members over the alleged assertions of Ayu, Oyedokun wrote:

The Chairman
and Distinguished  Members of The PDP BOT RECONCILIATION Committee.
In Your Presence Today, Monday 3rd October, 2022, at an Interactive Session with the National Chairman of our Party, Senator Dr Iyorchia Ayu, you witnessed a Premeditated Attack on my Person.
The Chairman said I would not like what my Wife, (who happens to be the National Woman Leader and a Member  of his NWC) is doing, if he decides to expose her. I leave that to the Woman to clear herself from any Perceived Allegation.

The Chairman Sarcastically looked and pointed at my Face and retorted, “You have no Control on your Wife. She is a Disgrace to you.”
To me, with my Age and Status in life to be so Publicly Humiliated becomes a Pill I find difficult to Swallow.
I was overruled from reacting. Yes, I swallowed it only to avoid Polluting the good work this Committee is doing, otherwise the Gentle Stepping of the Tiger is not Bourn Out of Cowardice.
This is the First Time in my life that I find myself trapped helplessly.
