Aina To Sign Fresh Two-Year Deal At Torino

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is set to sign a new two-year contract with Serie A club Torino.

Aina was set to leave the Turin club this summer after losing his starting spot in the second half of last season due to Nigeria’s participation in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The 25-year-old has started the 2022/23 season well, appearing in 10 league games for Ivan Juric’s team.

Torino have made good progress in their negotiations with the versatile defender, according to Les Transferts.

Aina was set to become a free agent next summer, but he has agreed to extend his contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2025.

He initially joined Torino on loan in 2018, but the Serie A club made the move permanent the following season.
