Suspense Follows Atiku’s Meeting With Jonathan

While sharing photos from the event, Okowa stated that the conversation with Jonathan focused on how to reclaim power from the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2023 elections.
“Last night, alongside our Presidential Candidate, Alhaji @Atiku Abubakar, we had a great meeting with our former President, H.E. @GEJonathan. There, we discussed our plans to #RecoverNigeria with His Excellency,” Okowa wrote.
Atiku also announced the visit. “Last night, I led a delegation alongside my vice-presidential candidate, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on a courtesy visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja. -AA,” he wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.
GWG.NG reports that Jonathan had earlier received Okowa along with Governor Bala Mohammed and proclaimed him as the incoming vice-president of the country in a tone that smacked of an endorsment.

want to represent us from next year (2023).”
GWG.NG reports that relationship between President Jonathan and Atiku has been very sensitive and touchy following the clash between the two men in 2010 and then in 2015 when Atiku backed Buhari to sack Jonathan.
It was yet unclear whether the visit of Atiku and Okowa had removed the issues between the former vice-president and President Jonathan.
