Tinubu Trends After Blaming OBJ For Not Making Payment For Corn For Electricity

APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was trending on Thursday night after damning President Olusegun Obasanjo for purportedly spending more than $16 billion on electricity and failing to make payment for a roasted corn!

The seeming incoherence of the APC presidential candidate again brought to fore the capacity of the candidate among critical stakeholders who have recently celebrated similar gaffes, most notably, during his campaign launch in Jos when he prayed for the rival PDP.

Speaking at a campaign event in Abakaliki, Ebonyi on Thursday, Tinubu said:

“They spent more than $16 billion, they forget (sic) that transmission line is a super highway for generated power. They could not even make a down payment for a roasted corn for that electricity.”

Critics of the APC candidate quickly went to twitter space to mock despite explanations put forward by some supporters of the ruling party candidate.

Musician Samklef was among those who brought the issue to twitter space.

He said:

Tinubu don drop another one, how roasted corn  take enter this him speech ? Baba Abeg no dey carry us go where we no know. U dey stress us..

Calm down Keyamo is arranging the meaning of the parable

However, a twitter user, apparently an enthusiast of the APC candidate was quick to explain the puzzle of the corn as said by Tinubu on the failure of the Obasanjo administration to provide electricity to the country.

KAYB @AbaniwondaK

What he said here is not out of context. He  said that they spent 16billion (perhaps on sth else) when there was electricity issue to be fixed yet they couldn’t afford to pay sth as little as an amount that can buy a roasted corn to fix the light.
