Tinubu’s Men Stray In As Murray-Bruce Discloses Movie Deal With Genevieve Nnaji
Leading Nigerian political actor and businessman, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has opened up on plans to work with leading thespian, Genevieve Nnaji on a movie deal to be worked out from Eko Atlantic City, and with it stirring reactions from supporters of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
The development follows the long absence of the movie star from the industry following reports of ill-health.
However, Genevieve Nnaji made an appearance at 2022 edition of Creative Africa Nexus, discussing the importance of the film industry to development in Africa. After months of staying away from the public she looked chubbier apparently having put on some weight after months of apparent inactivity while she reportedly recovered from her ill-health.
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of the Silverbird Group and a leading light in the Nigerian entertainment industry who was also at the event in a picture with Genevieve Nnaji disclosed in a post on Twitter that he was now working towards a deal with the leading Nollywood star.
According to Murray-Bruce, the deal will be executed at his BMB studios and film academy in Eko Atlantic City, a disclosure that immediately set tweeps on fire as they chided him for patronizing a settlement developed by the authorities in Lagos who have all been guided by Tinubu.
Murray-Bruce is a patron of the PDP while Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the APC.
He disclosed the deal in a picture with her which he posted on the microblogging platform.
He tweeted thus: “Working on a deal with @GenevieveNnaji1 so that all her movies will be produced at the BMB studios and film academy at Eko Atlantic City.”
