New Controversies As Keyamo Releases Tinubu’s US Visa

Published

on

Questions were being raised on Sunday morning after Festus Keyamo, the spokesman of the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu campaign released his current visa to the United States.

GWG.NG reports that Olorogun Keyamo, SAN was forced to release the visa of the APC presidential candidate after rumours went around the country that Tinubu had been denied a visa to enter the United States. The rumours came to fore after Tinubu who had earlier put the United States as one of his destinations prior to his departure from the country on Saturday was reported to have postponed the US leg of the trip.

His friend, Chief Orji Kalu was quick to intervene on his behalf that the postponement of the trip was not because of a visa but for other reasons.

However, as the rumours increased, Keyamo went to twitter to douse the assertions in a twitter post.

He said:

While some passionate supporters of Tinubu welcomed the release, some others saw it as unnecessary and a few others saw it as ammunition for the opposition.

Indeed, the release of the visa document immediately raised the fire of the critical opposition who raised questions as to discrepancies in date of birth of the APC presidential candidate even as some queried why Tinubu who schooled and worked in the US would be travelling to the country with a B1/B2 visa meant for temporary visitors.

One critic even imputed and dared that the APC presidential candidate would not return if he travels to the US.

GWG.NG gathered some of the reactions:

KWEKU THE HUSTLER, FOCUSED ON SELLING PETER OBI @urchilla01

You people have a history of faking documents and appropriating identities. Nothing coming from any official Tinubu campaign channel can be believed. Buckets of salt, not pinch

Utenma. @Pinktourmline

Which one is his actual date of birth, 1952 or 54? The lies keep piling up.

Ikenga Climacus @DrAnozie

I’m wondering why a man who schooled, lived, worked and owns properties in the US would require a tourist visa to re-enter the United States. Did he commit any crime that nullified his immigration status as it were?

SammyBoy @PlayboyTigerX

He doesn’t live in America, nor does he have a greencard/US citizenship. Which other visa should he use to enter the US? Not everyone has the 3 -5 years required to gain citizenship

Olabode Ayomide @ayoakani

Why do we take visiting US a big deal, how many US candidates visit Nigeria? Visa or no visa my vote for Tinubu

OSHOMAH @JohnNetworQ

For a man who lived , worked and did “legitimate” business that yielded millions in $$ , who’s kids own property running into millions of $$ in the US, I find it a bit odd he’s on B1/B2 visa . Or maybe I’m tripping . Or ignorant 🤷🏾‍♂️

KWiwa @KenWiwa4

sometimes you play at their level. You don’t need to post his visa which is his personal document. When Tinubu arrives US, the noise makers can then spin another tale. This visa pic has given them more ammunition for mischief.
