Keyamo Denies Claims Of Abandoning Tinubu
Festus Keyamo, the official spokesperson of the APC Presidential Camapign Council has denied claims by the PDP of shying away from defending Asiwaju Bola Tinubu describing the assertion of abandoning the presidential candidate as laughable.
He spoke after Atiku Abubakar’s spokesman, Charles Aniagwu claimed in a television interview that several APC officials were abandoning Tinubu on account of his perceived gaffes.
Speaking on an AIT morning programme, Kakaaki, Aniagwu who is also the commissioner for information in Delta State, said:
“The inability of the APC Presidential candidate to carry on his campaigns seamlessly is a pointer to the fact that he is being managed and that is not the kind of leader Nigerians deserve at this time.
“Tinubu is a great leader and we respect him for all his accomplishments and contributions to nation building in the past.
“A situation where a Presidential candidate cannot speak coherently for only two minutes calls for serious concern.
“And that’s why we can hardly hear from our brother Festus Keyamo again because the kind of things he defends is already becoming an embarrassment to the legal profession,” Aniagwu had said noting that that was the reason that Keyamo was sending the likes of Bayo Onanuga and Dele Alake to speak.
However, responding to charge in a text message to GWG.ng, Keyamo said:
“Very laughable. We all speak for our candidate at different times. I will be on TVC tonight on a very important political programme to sell our candidate,” Keyamo said in laughing off the PDP claim of abandoning Tinubu.
