Tinubu Returns To Abuja As Aide Debunks Health Challenge (Video)
APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Wednesday returned to Abuja after campaign swings in Minna and Kaduna.
GWG.ng reports that the Minna leg of the campaign tour was enmeshed in controversy after the candidate failed to make a campaign pitch as he only made a brief appearance and greeted supporters who had turned out massively for the rally.
The Director, Media and Publicity, All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, late on Wednesday, however, debunked reports of ill-health that trailed brief appearance at the campaign ground saying that the candidate had to attend to other issues that same day.
The campaign in Minna followed the equally massive rally in Kaduna a day before. There were suggestions in some quarters that the tie up of the two rallies may have exhausted the candidate, a claim that was debunked by Onanuga.
“Contrary to the rumours that he was rushed off stage because of health concerns, Tinubu cut it short to attend to other programmes of the day,” Onanuga said.
“He commended the party supporters for coming out en masse to witness the flag off of the presidential campaign,” the statement said in debunking claims that Tinubu was rushed off the stage at the Minna rally.
GWG.ng reports that Tinubu returned to Abuja alongside his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, national chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu among others.
