DSS Steps In As Star Actress, Empress Njamah Opens Up On Forced Engagement, N*de Video
Leading Nollywood star, Empress Njamah has debunked story of her engagement despite showing off her engagement ring on Instagram, narrating how she was coerced into a slavish relationship with threats of the leak of her nude video by a man from Liberia.
GWG.ng reports that only on Thursday, December 15, 2022, a video of Empress Njamah celebrating her engagement where she narrated that she was finally off the market trended on Instagram.
However, celebrity designer, Yomi Casual had in a caution alerted that the engagement was fake disclosing that her account had been hacked. GWG.ng had reported the engagement as a controversy clouding the engagement of the star. That controversy was, however, played down among many given that the video was the real depiction of the star actress.
Many celebrities led by Annie Idibia had swarmed her page to congratulate her on the engagement that was purportedly done in August, though the video was only posted last Thursday, December 15.
However, in a development emerging at the weekend, Empress Njamah has in a series of videos on Instagram narrated how she was forced to do the video by the man who she claimed entered her life at a time she was in her lowest moments following the death of her bosom friend, Ada Ameh.
She said the man came in to console her and quickly moved into her life and home. However, not long after she narrated that the man changed into a bully, took control of her social media accounts and repeatedly beat her to the extent of serial hospitalisations.
She said that she finally escaped from her house and sought help from her brother this week. The man according to her went away from her house with her international passport, her passwords and has been sending messages on her behalf through her accounts.
The man who, however, posted the video of the engagement from Empress Njamah’s account reached out to Linda Ikeji Blog and claimed that he proposed to Empress on August 18, 2022, with a ring worth $49,800 and they were about to get married but he ended the engagement over alleged infidelity and fraud.
He alleged that Empress duped him of his money and was also cheating on him with other men.
Empress Njamah, however, denied the claims of the man saying that he has her n*de video and that the claim that she was with other men was wrong as the man, named Wade was the one with her but hid himself.
She also admitted that the DSS has now stepped into the matter.
