Obidients Mock As Atiku’s, Tinubu’s Spokesmen Fight Over Health Of Presidential Candidates
By Emmanuel Aziken
Supporters of Peter Obi were watching and mocking at the weekend as spokesmen of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Atiku Abubakar taunted one another over the health status of their respective principals.
The health status of Atiku Abubakar was brought to twitter on Saturday after Festus Keyamo, the spokesman of the APC presidential candidate, Tinubu. GWG.ng reports that Keyamo posted a picture Atiku being helped down the stairs during the Thursday rally in Anambra State.
He said:
“We’re not mocking Atiku for being assisted whilst coming down a flight of stairs. He’s elderly & we think it’s proper to assist out of abundance of caution. However, if it’s @officialABA, the same PDP goons would’ve callously gone to town with a fake Ill-health narrative
He was quickly rebutted by Phrank Shaibu, spokesman of Atiku Abubakar who posted a comedy skit of Tinubu over his comment of making down payment for “roasted corn from the $16 billion he claimed was spent in transmitting electricity,” a comment that raised issues with the mental health of the APC candidate.
The twitter fight inevitably drew in supporters of Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate who bunched the candidates of the PDP and the APC as issues of the past.
GWG.ng gathered some of the reactions from the ongoing twitter fight over the health of Tinubu and Atiku.

Both your Candidate and and Atiku will not rule Nigeria. Peter Obi is the next president of Nigeria.
Inspiration @HephzyLink
Is it a crime to be “elderly” and are you willing to be one someday?

Its very sad and disappointing to see respected figures like u in society to be selling a product like @officalABAT to Nigerians just because of your own personal political interest. Its indeed shameful @fkeyamo some day u all will pay for this.
Nwa Mazzi @nwa_mazzi @fkeyamo and @officialABAT
Dude, stop pushing @officialABAT to do what his health can not take anymore. U can’t do all this if was to be ur dad. ATM I no just collect and go so he could be alive to enjoy his had work in Chicago as a coffee maker with millions of dollars in his possession lol
Abdallah @Temi_tayour @fkeyamo and
I take serious caution in mocking old people cos I do not knw what would become of me in my old age. It’s not our fault that @OfficialPDPNig n @atiku has no achievements to campaign with n they resulted in character assasination. TOO BAD!
Osaro @iamfuturec @fkeyamo and @officialABAT
Atiku is far healthier than your dead candidate.
Solomon Ayo @WiseKingOdafe @fkeyamo
In a country where there are young men like you, you want the electorates to elect old and weak men that need assistance to get down the stairs as president of a challenged country like Nigeria?
Jason Don Uhegbu @don_uhegbu
That’s why they both need to rest and leave the stage for younger , stronger and energetic candidates. They should both be voted out, bcos you just confirmed that they are the same in all ramifications. Thanks for owning up.
Elle @sweetsixtien
So what are you doing? 1. You are indirectly saying Atiku is not fit enough 2. You are ADMITTING that Tinubu and ATIKU’s health status is the same thing. You are happy you have found someone like Tinubu too, so both APC and PDP are the same! No new info here.
@dartNUPEboi
A few years ago, Atiku said he jogs more than a mile everyday. This was when he criticized Buhari for his 800m trek in Daura. With what I am seeing here, I doubt if the Turaki n Adamawa still has the strength to cover such distance.
Mr Man® @MrManOfficial_
Who don old, don old! …nothing wey we fit do to package am!
David fubara @Davidfubara8
The difference is very clear. Atiku is not claiming to a superman at 75, but Tinibu is supercilious and saying to all he is stronger than his age. Be real and majority of people would be sympathetic and follow you.
muchmore- grace @MadubaAugustine
It is only in Nigeria that old men that can not walk are running for president. Old tinubu and atiku cannot rescue sick Nigeria.
Aghama Amadasun, MPA @aghama_amadasun
It’s wisdom for these despicable and desperate Presidential ancestors sorry candidates called Tinubu and his very good friend Atiku to retire home permanently, in view of their physical and mental challenges. Let them respect themselves and leave the political stage with dignity.
Akwashiki Charles @AkwashikiC
Since your master and now Atiku are already short of becoming a President. Why not channel ur single vote to a more befitting one?
