Kidnappers have killed three abducted siblings and a motorcycle rider after collecting N60 million ransom from the siblings’ father in Taraba State.

Daily Trust learnt that the incident occurred at a forest near Garin Dogo in Lau Local Government Area of the state on Sunday.

It was gathered that three of the victims were of the same parents and were abducted at Garin Dogo by kidnappers,  who demanded N100m ransom.

It was gathered that the father of the three young men, one Alhaji Musa, a cattle dealer, negotiated with the kidnappers.

Daily Trust learnt that the kidnappers agreed on N60m ransom for the release of the three siblings and the motorcycle rider was hired to deliver the ransom to the abductors at a  forest near the village.

However, the kidnappers killed the four of them after collecting the ransom. It was learnt that the victims were buried on Monday in the village.

Besides the news of the fate of the three siblings who died despite the ransom payment, it also emerged that in a related incident, five suspected kidnappers were gunned down by the army at Maisamari town in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State on Sunday.

The suspects, who were alleged to be behind most of the kidnappings in the area, met their Waterloo while trying to kidnap a cattle dealer in the area.

The police spokesman in the state, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the two incidents.
