Man Kills Football Coach Suspected of Cheating With Wife
Shem Wisdom, a 37-year-old man, has been detained in Malawi on suspicion of killing a football coach, Gift Kalibeti by stabbing him to death after suspecting him of having sexual relations with his wife.
The Mulanje District Hospital employee and football team coach Kalibeti had been alleged to be having an affair with Wisdom’s wife.
It was learnt that Wisdom had used his wife’s phone to message the deceased with an instruction to meet her at home.
Kalibeti, a married man with children, went to the residence believing that Wisdom’s wife had invited him.
However, Wisdom, who supposedly killed him with a knife, welcomed him.
According to Sergeant Innocent Moses, a spokeswoman for the Mulanje Police, who verified the incident to journalists on January 5th, the suspect has been taken into custody.
