Atiku mocks Wike Ibadan

Atiku Abubakar has mocked Governor Nyesom Wike and the G5 governors over the snub they received at the Ibadan rally over his candidature.

GWG.ng reports that Atiku spoke on the snub to Wike and the G5 after PDP supporters repeatedly chanted his name at the Ibadan rally of the party held to flag off the campaign in the state on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

The G5 Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Seyi Makinde (Oyo State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), Samuel Ortom (Benue State), and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State) were in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital for the flag-off of the campaign of their colleague, Seyi Makinde who is the only member of the group seeking re-election.

GWG.ng reports that Governor Wike who is the leader of the G5 had at the rally said:

“Vote for Seyi, vote for the Senator, vote for the House of Reps, vote for the House of Assembly. For the other one (presidency), Seyi would talk to you.”

That assertion was, however, tapered off with chants of Atiku, Atiku, Atiku.

Responding to the snub of Governor Wike at the Ibadan rally of the PDP, Atiku went to his his twitter account on Friday, to mock:

“Oyo State, I heard you loud and clear yesterday. I take it warmly as a vote of confidence in me and our great party, @OfficialPDPNig. You proved that my love for the Pace-Setter State over the years is not in vain.

“My promise to you is this: we shall work closely together in the mission to Recover Nigeria – AA”

GWG.ng reports that Governor Wike and other members of the G5 have taken a position against Atiku, the PDP’s presidential candidate following issues from the national convention.
