Dr. Godwin Amanke, the commissioner for quality education, said this on Tuesday, January 17, at a ministerial briefing in Calabar.

Amanke declared;

“We have asked several questions. Six principals were suspended, 12 were fired, and 16 were reassigned.

The commissioner added that he had heard some principals were paying up to N300,000 to have their funds transferred.

He stated that officials had been sent to monitor schools, further establishing the threat of cultism in secondary schools.
