By Onyinyechukwu Chima
Everton football club has sacked Frank Lampard after a poor run of form with the most recent being the loss at West Ham on Saturday.
The Toffees have only gained five points in their previous 12 Premier League games, leaving them mired in 19th place.
The former Chelsea captain and coach who helped the team avoid relegation last season, is departing Everton with 15 points after 20 games, coming from three victories this campaign—the division’s worst winning percentage.
GWG.ng reports that after the loss to West Ham supporters in the travelling party demonstrated against the club’s management with banners calling for the sack of the coach.
The board responded by firing Lampard, a former Chelsea manager.
