Man Hangs Self After Being Locked Out By Sugar Mummy

A 41-year-old man hanged himself after his older girlfriend or sugar mummy allegedly refused to unlock the door for him when he arrived her home late on Sunday night.

David Mbijiwe hanged himself in Thuura, Meru County, Kenya, behind the house of his much older lover who it was alleged had apparently got tired of him.

According to reports, he left a suicide note that blamed Mary Ntinyari for his actions. He claimed that he cannot survive without her.

It said;

“Ntinyari you are the reason why I have decided to kill myself because I cannot live without you now look for my body in a tree near the road.”

Before taking his own life, the deceased had been residing in the home of his sweetheart for a number of months.

A neighbour also told reporters;

“Mbijiwe was being kept by his long-time girlfriend, who is much older than he is. Despite the age gap, they have been together. The awful news we discovered when we woke up shook us”.

Ezekiel Chepkwony, the head of North Imenti Police, confirmed the event and claimed the body and suicide note were found dangling from a tree.

In addition, he stated that the police had opened an investigation into the incident and that the body had been sent to Meru Level Five Teaching and Referral Hospital.

There are no reports of the response of the sugar mummy to the action of the man or his family members after he hanged himself.
