BREAKING: Setback For Keyamo As Court Schedules Hearing To Stop Atiku After Feb 25 Poll
The bid by Festus Keyamo to stop PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar from the 2023 presidential polls received mixed blessing on Friday after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja gave leave to the plaintiff to proceed with serving the defendant.
However, in what is bound to be seen as a setback for the major prayer sought by Keyamo, the court fixed hearing on the issue for March 4, 2023.
GWG.ng reports that the development means that hearing is expected to come after the presidential election scheduled for February 25, 2023.
While it is possible for the hearing could go against Atiku the prospects of a judgment disqualifying Atiku after he would have possibly won the election would be very daring.
In the order made by Justice J.K. Omotosho it was ordered that Atiku should be served by placing the orders in his campaign office either by pasting it on the wall or dropping them on the floor within the campaign office in Abuja.
GWG.ng reports that the move by Keyamo follows what the APC presidential campaign has termed as an Atikugate in the heels of an audio tape made public by a former associate of the former vice president, Michael Achimugu.
Keyamo, a former rights activist and presently spokesman of the Bola Tinubu Campaign and minister of state for labour and employment had vowed to make the days ahead of the election hell for Atiku using the courts over what he has alleged as an Atikugate.
