Ondo Sex Offender Molests Previous Victim’s Baby Sister

A 23 year old man, Dominic David, has been remanded in police custody by an Akure, Ondo State Magistrate Court for allegedly sticking his finger inside a five-year-old girl’s private area.

David allegedly committed the crime on January 24, 2023, in the Idanre neighborhood’s Basic Road and Odode Street.

He was alleged to have used biscuits to get the little girl into his flat where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim was the one who informed her mother how David allegedly took off her pants and stuck his finger in her vagina. David was eventually apprehended by the police and charged with one count of indecent sexual assault.

According to police prosecutor Matins Olowofeso, the defendant was detained for the same offense last year.

“David did the same thing to the victim’s older sister, who was 10 years old at the time, last year. When released from prison, he pledged in writing not to repeat the offense “said Olowofeso.

According to Olowofeso, the offense violated Sections 4(1) and (2) of the Ondo State 2021 VAPPLAW. However, the defendant’s plea was not accepted. Folashade Aduroja, the presiding magistrate, ordered the accused to continue to remain in police custody. The case was postponed until February 9 by Aduroja.
