Nigerian Footballer Dies During Live Match in Spain

21-year-old Nigerian footballer, Ado Hadi who plays for CD Madridejos in the Spanish Terceira level, has died after collapsing during his team’s home game against SP Cabanillas.

A statement issued from the Castilla-La Mancha Football Federation, said that Hadi passed out in the 39th minute of the tragic game for no obvious reason.

The medical staff at the Municipal Toledo ground instantly went to help him, but their attempts to revive him were unsuccessful because he was eventually declared dead minutes later.

The statement also stated that the Castilla-La Mancha Football Federation and Castilian-La Mancha football, led by its President Pablo Burillo, are utterly appalled by the incident. Hadi, age 21, last competed for Jigawa Golden Stars in Nigeria.

Hadi was one of CD Madridejos’ four Nigerian players up to his passing.
