9 year Old Nigerian, Becomes One Of The Youngest High School Graduates Ever

A 9-year-old with Nigerian ancestry from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA, has completed high school becoming one of the youngest ever to graduate from high school.

David, who attends Bucks County Community College, graduated from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s Reach Cyber Charter School as its youngest student.

David Balogun said on “Good Morning America”: “I would say that you should know what you’re good at and what you’re not excellent at, because if you’re not good at a subject, you shouldn’t be let down that you didn’t earn an A-plus in that subject.”

“You can still excel and graduate at an early age even if you’re not so excellent at that topic but good at, let’s say, all or most of your other subjects.” David started an accelerated curriculum, studied all year long, and covered a range of topics.

David commented, “My favorite topic is learning new things, as my mum says.” “I’m eager to study new things, whether it’s in the fields of art, math, physics, English, or social studies.”

He claimed to particularly appreciate math and science, particularly nuclear chemistry, and expressed a desire to work in astronomy, engineering, or software development in the future.

David added that in addition to making robots and watching online movies about anything from astronomy to physiology, he also likes to learn.

Their family is “exceedingly pleased” of the nine-year-old’s accomplishments so far, David’s mother Ronya Balogun said on “GMA.”

“It has always been my joy to see my son in this position today,” David’s father, Henry Balogun, said.

He said, “This is wonderful, and we are sincerely grateful to God that he was able to accomplish his aim. “He’s still traveling. He is currently a college student but has not yet achieved the end.”

Ronya Balogun advised other parents to always be there for their children. It’s incredibly fulfilling, but you have to think outside the box, be able to speak up for what you believe in, and not give up, she added.

“Encourage them from within and have faith in them even when they have self-doubt. Simply have faith in them, and that is what I encourage my son: “Go as far as you want to.” Where you desire to go is not constrained. Your dreams have no boundaries,” he said of the Nigerian lad who becomes one of the youngest to ever graduate high school.
