BREAKING: Supreme Court Suspends CBN’s February 10 Deadline On Use Of Old Naira Notes
The Supreme Court, Wednesday, restrained the Federal Government from giving vent to the February 10 deadline for the use of N200, N500 and N1000 old Naira notes.
The Supreme Court judgment followed an expedited hearing on the case brought before it by three All Progressives Congress, APC states against the Muhammadu Buhari led government and the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.
GWG.ng reports that the Supreme Court in a unanimous decision by a seven-member panel, halted the full implementation of the naira redesign policy of the CBN following the suit brought by the governments of Kogi, Kaduna and Zamfara States.
