Obidients Cheer As Senator MT Mbu Dumps APC For Labour

The Obidient Movement in Nigeria was at the weekend cheering as it emerged that a godfather of the All Progressives Congress, APC and former acting chairman of the party in Cross River State, Senator Matthew Mbu, popularly known as MT Mbu has dumped the party and declared for the Labour Party.

Senator Mbu who was a major bridge to the major factions of the APC was reportedly the architect of Governor Ben Ayade defection from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to the APC.

A statement from the Obi-Datti Media Office averred that Senator Mbu said he was joining the Obidient movement because it’s becoming very obvious that they are the only ones who can restore the much-needed peace, unity, and progress In Nigeria.

“The distinguished Senator also believes that the Obidatti team is the only one that can restore a bright future for the Nigerian youths who are indeed the future of any and the Nation Rests on.

“Obi-Datti media notes that Sen. Mbu is a big addition to the growing Obiidient movement because he has a huge following, and members of his APC cadre are likely to come with him into the Obidient Fold.

“Obi-Datti,, therefore welcomes the distinguished Senator and calls on all other lovers of a new Nigeria to join in taking back Nigeria for the much-needed rebuilding.”

GWG.ng reports that Senator MT Mbu was the first senator elected to represent Cross River Central Senatorial Constituency at the advent of the Fourth Republic.
