Vote Your Conscience On Saturday – Mary Remmy Njoku

Published

on

Nollywood actress and film producer, Mary Remmy Njoku, has urged Nigerians to seek physical solutions to their problems using the power of their vote instead of relying on spiritual solutions.

In a recent post on her social media accounts, Njoku expressed concern that the country had an overreliance on religion as solutions to problems that were physical in nature.

Nigeria, like many African countries, has a high number of churches and mosques, and the majority of its population is deeply religious.

However, despite this abundance of faith-based institutions and practices, the country continues to face numerous challenges in the areas of food security, infrastructure, healthcare, security, roads, and physical justice.

Njoku believes that invoking spiritual solutions to these physical problems is not effective, and Nigerians should instead focus on finding practical solutions.

She cited the example of Jesus, who fed the crowd with physical bread and fish, not with spiritual solutions.

In her post, Mary Remmy Njoku also encouraged Nigerians to use the power of their vote to effect change.

She suggested that if Nigerians were dissatisfied with the current crop of politicians, they should vote against them in the upcoming elections.

She noted that despite prayers and faith-based solutions, bad politicians have not been punished by God, suggesting that it is up to Nigerians to take action and hold their leaders accountable.
