Atiku Scores Zero As Ortom Delivers Polling Unit To Obi
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar scored zero in the polling unit where Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State voted in LGEA primary school in Gbajimba the headquarters of Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.
GWG.ng reports that the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi won all but one of the 251 votes cast at the polling unit underlining the endorsement of the Labour Party candidate by the governor earlier in the week.
Reflective of the sway of Governor Ortom on the vote, Labour Party scored zero in the Senate and House of Representatives vote as the PDP swept the votes in the constituency where Ortom is standing in for the Senate seat.
Ortom is part of the G5 governors who have refused to back Atiku for the presidential election and the fact that he scored zero in the governor’s unit may now underline the political discord between the two men.
There are many polling units including Ortom’s at the voting centre.
