Lawan, Gbajabiamila Fail To Deliver Units To Tinubu

The two presiding officers of the National Assembly, NASS, Senate President Ahmad Lawan and Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila failed to deliver their polling units to the APC presidential ticket, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

GWG.ng reports that it is particularly ironic for Gbajabiamila, a protegee of Tinubu’s who has poured hundreds of millions of naira in promoting television adverts in support of the APC presidential candidate who he has adopted as his political mentor.

His ascendance to the office of Speaker is largely believed to have been on the goodwill of Tinubu.

In the polling unit, located at Elizabeth Fowler Primary School, Unit 14, Ward G2, Masha Surulere, Obi polled a total of 89 votes to defeat Tinubu, who had 59 votes, while Atiku polled a total of 5 votes.

Meanwhile, Lawan who like Gbajabiamila was believed to have ascended to the office of Senate President on the goodwill of Tinubu also failed to win his polling unit for the APC presidential candidate.

GWG.ng reports that in his Katuzu Primary School Unit 001B voting point that  Atiku polled 186 votes to defeat Tinubu who polled 107 while the NNPP polled 41 and Obi got 1 vote.

However, in what is bound to inspire conspiracy theories given the reverse of fortunes in the Senatorial race, Lawan polled 301 votes to defeat his PDP rival who scored 37 votes.
