Oby Ezekwesili Shares Cryptic Post As Tinubu Gets Certificate Of Return

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, has sparked speculation with a cryptic tweet regarding the Certificate of Return (CoR) given to President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima, at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Wednesday.

The presentation of the CoR was made by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, amid calls from opposition parties for the cancellation of the election and for Yakubu to step down from his position over claims that the election was rigged in favour of the ruling party.

Ezekwesili’s tweet has been interpreted by some as a veiled warning to Tinubu and Shettima that they may soon be forced to return their certificates once Peter Obi is vindicated.

The tweet reads: “Certificate that will be returned. Hold your peace, data shall speak.”

The former World Bank Vice President for Africa Region, in 2022 said she would vote for the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, ahead of other candidates.

The former Allied Congress Party of Nigeria presidential candidate explained that Obi could easily be rated with available information in the public domain and having done her ratings.
