Obi Mourns Iwuanyanwu

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), delivered an emotional speech on Thursday, highlighting the deplorable situation in Nigeria and its impact on its citizens.

During a press briefing held in Abuja, Obi narrated the story of a young female Nigerian graduate who was unable to secure a job or buy a N75,000 oven to start a baking business.

Overwhelmed by emotions, Obi broke down in tears, stating that her situation is a typical example of what is happening to many Nigerians.

The Labour Party candidate promised that his party would “reclaim” its “mandate” and explore all legal and peaceful means to prove that they won the 2023 presidential election.

“If you must answer his excellency, the process by which you arrive at the office must be excellent,” Mr Obi added.

Julius Abure, the Chairman of the Labour Party; Akin Osuntokun, the Director General (DG) of the Obi campaign, and other party supporters attended the conference.

This comes after Obi’s running-mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, made a similar pledge to fight against the “injustice that dashed the hope of distraught Nigerians” through all legal and peaceful means.
