By GWG Football Editor
Chelsea manager Graham Potter has gushed after his team achieved the first away win of the year at Leicester on Saturday afternoon following two unprecedented straight victories at Stamford Bridge under his watch.
Chelsea won 3-1 at King Power Stadium to return to west London with all three points, as former Leicester defender Ben Chilwell got himself on the scoresheet.
Another former Leicester City man Wesley Fofana also featured for Chelsea in what was his first match against Leicester since leaving for £70million in the summer.
The victory made it three wins for Chelsea heralding the return of optimism at Stamford Bridge and removing the spirit of depression from the manager.
“Our defensive record has been good in terms of goals conceded in the Premier League and the mentality is strong in the team. They give everything, they want to keep the ball out of the net and we have players on the other side who want to put the ball in the back of the net,” GWG.ng quotes Graham Potter as telling told Sky Sports.
“Three wins in the week at this level is very pleasing. Now we have to follow that up with a win next weekend and then into the international break. We will try to get three points against Everton.”
GWG.ng reports that the win at Leicester made it three straight victories for Chelsea after overcoming Leeds and Dortmund.
